Barbados is only 21 miles long and 14 miles wide, but there is much to see and do.  All the 11 parishes have something different to offer and a character of their own.  Take time off from the beach for a couple of days, hire a car and explore the many delights of the island - from flower gardens, caves and gullies to plantation houses, sugar fields and rum distilleries.  Barbados is not a country to be seen in a rush - Bajans are laid back and their island is a place to be savoured.
